BIO

Adam McManus

Adam McManus, the co-host of Time for Courage, has worked in Christian media since 1990.

Since February of 2015, he has hosted a 5-minute Christian newscast heard weekdays at TheWorldview.com.  It’s a round-up of the daily news from a Biblical perspective. And, perhaps most uniquely, you’ll often hear applicable Scriptures paired with the stories themselves. It’s part Paul Harvey, part R.C. Sproul.

Since September of 2020, Adam has also been a writer for Dr. James Dobson’s Family Talk program heard on 1,300 radio stations. Before that, he served as the producer of Washington Watch with Tony Perkins heard on 800 radio stations. In addition to booking the guests, he pulled and edited the audio clips, and wrote the script.

Adam has hosted a daily, call-in talk show on four different radio stations over a 20-year span. He hosted a daily, three-hour Christian radio talk show on 630 KSLR, a Salem Communications affiliate, in San Antonio, Texas between 1997 and 2010. He was voted both the favorite talk show host and favorite radio personality of the Alamo City according to the San Antonio Express-News Reader’s Choice poll.

In addition, Adam has also guest hosted on a national level for G. Gordon Liddy on 250 stations, Kerby Anderson on 360 stations, Tony Perkins on 337 stations, Janet Folger Porter on 150 stations, CrossTalk on 75 stations, and co-hosted with the late Marlin Maddoux of Point of View on 360 stations.

Plus, he has filled in for Joe Walsh on 560, The Answer in Chicago, Illinois; Dan Patrick and Sam Malone on 700, KSEV in Houston, Texas; Ben Ferguson and Chris Krok on 820, WBAP in Dallas, Texas; Grant Stinchfield on 570, KLIF in Dallas, Texas; Joe Pags on 1200, WOAI in San Antonio, Texas; Trey Ware, Jack Riccardi and Sean Rima on 550, KTSA in San Antonio, Texas; Rob Williams on 1620, WNRP in Pensacola, Florida; and Dana Sturgeon on 1210, KPRZ in San Diego, California.

After getting married to the former Amy Holzer of Dallas on November 11, 2006, they adopted their son Honor (12) and had Mercy (10) and Valor (7). Check out AdamMcManus.net for his gut-wrenchingly honest roller coaster of a love story.

Having professed faith in Christ at the age of seven through the influence of his Sunday School teacher at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Darien, Connecticut, he was involved with Campus Crusade for Christ at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Plus, Adam served as a short-term missionary for six months through Youth with A Mission in Mombasa, Kenya and Tanga, Tanzania where he showed the Jesus film to the Masai tribe.

His life verse is Romans 12:2 which declares, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.” A close second is Ephesians 5:11 which says, “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.”

His family attends Wayside Chapel, an Evangelical Free church in San Antonio, where Adam teaches first-grade Sunday School.
